Sevilla Cruise Port has officially launched its 2026 cruise season, marking the beginning of a new chapter under the management of Global Ports Holding (GPH) and Ocean Platform Marinas (OPM) in partnership with Sevilla Port Authority. This first call represents the start of a 25-year partnership between GPH and OPM, who will oversee cruise and megayacht operations at the port. The long-term collaboration aims to position Sevilla as a leading cruise and megayacht destination, anchored in a sustainable, high-value tourism model that aligns with the city’s global cultural standing.
Between February and December, nearly 90 calls are scheduled to visit the city throughout the year. Among them is the the Belle de Cadix, which has Sevilla as its homeport. In addition, four cruise ships will call at the city for the first time.
The cruise season at the Sevilla Cruise Port begins with the arrival of Azamara Journey, measuring 180 metres in length. For the fourth consecutive year, Azamara Cruises marks the start of the cruise season in the city. On board are 670 passengers, mainly from the United States and Canada, along with 400 crew members, who will enjoy an extended two-night stay in the heart of Sevilla.
“From this first call of 2026, Sevilla will benefit from the management of industry leaders who have placed their trust in the port’s potential to position the city as a cruise and megayacht destination, promoting a sustainable, high-value tourism model,” said Rafael Carmona, President of the Sevilla Port Authority, during a visit to the vessel. The visit was also attended by Angie Moreno, Councillor for Tourism of Sevilla City Council, and representatives of Global Ports Holding and Ocean Platform Marinas.
As part of this new era for the port, Beatrice Rasmini has been appointed as the General Manager of Sevilla Cruise Port. Bringing extensive industry experience to the role, Mrs. Rasmini will oversee the day-to-day operations and the strategic implementation the investment plan. Her leadership is central to the joint venture's mission of enhancing the passenger experience, modernizing port infrastructure, and fostering strong relationships with cruise lines and the luxury yacht sector. Under her guidance, the port aims to provide personalized, high-value services that align with Sevilla's reputation as a world-class destination.

There is growing demand for ports that combine operational excellence, specialized services, and a unique integration between the port and the destination. Seville meets all of these conditions,” explained Ignacio del Río, Partner and Head of Assets at Ocean Capital Partners.
Under its business model for Sevilla Cruise Port, Global Ports Holding and Ocean Platform Marinas will enhance the port experience for both passengers and cruise lines, optimise operations and provide personalised services tailored to each vessel. The project also includes infrastructure modernisation, with the refurbishment of the current terminal and the construction of a new cruise terminal within the Urban Port District, once cruise operations are relocated to this area. To this end, Global Ports Holding and OPM will invest more than €5 million.
