As part of our ongoing projects at St Vincent and the Grenadines, we are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team. This is a critical role, responsible for overseeing complex construction activities and ensuring successful delivery of large-scale infrastructure projects under safety, quality, and budget standards.
Main Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate the delivery of all assigned capital (CAPEX) projects for St. Vincent Cruise Port, from feasibility and design through construction, commissioning, and handover.
- Act as the Owner's Representative during design and construction, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate and supervise engineering consultants, architects, contractors, and specialist suppliers across all project phases.
- Monitor project programme, budget, quality, health & safety, and risks, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Review engineering designs, technical submissions, method statements, and contractor deliverables.
- Administer construction contracts, including variations, claims, and payment certifications.
- Coordinate permitting and approvals with local authorities and statutory agencies.
- Prepare and present monthly progress reports, budgets, schedules, and executive presentations to senior management and stakeholders.
- Liaise with architects, government authorities, port operators, and internal project teams.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Support procurement and tender evaluations.
- Coordinate inspections, testing, commissioning, and project handover.
- Manage multiple concurrent projects across St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
- Identify opportunities to improve the operational efficiency, resilience, and sustainability of port infrastructure.
- Support the long-term maintenance and development of port infrastructure, including marine facilities, terminal buildings, utilities, and landside assets.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and site teams.
Qualifications / Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification is highly desirable.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in construction/project management, with proven delivery of large-scale infrastructure, commercial, or port-related capital projects.
- Strong experience managing projects end-to-end, including budgeting, scheduling, cost control, and contract administration.
- Proficiency in project management tools and CAD software.
- Solid understanding of construction methodologies, engineering standards, and health & safety regulations.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).
- Experience working in international environments.
- Strong communication, reporting, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in fast-paced project environments and adapt to changing priorities.
